Moriaki (Mori) Kida is EY Asia East Regional Managing Partner. He is also the Chairperson and CEO of EY Japan since 1 July 2021 and oversees Assurance, Tax, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, responsible for the services EY provides to all clients headquartered in Japan as well as to foreign companies with business endeavors in Japan.
He is also a member of the EY Asia-Pacific Area Operating Executive board and the Global and Asia-Pacific Inclusiveness Steering Committees. He is a strong advocate on issues related to gender, LGBT+, those with diverse abilities, nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
Mori has been committed to DE&I and has ranked in the Involve’s Hall of Fame as an Outstanding LGBT+ Executive Role Model.
He holds a Master’s in Sciences in Business Administration – Accounting, from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Music - Piano Performance, from the University of California, Irvine.
