Margaret Johnston-Clarke is French American and has more than 30 years of work experience in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility, Philanthropy, Branding and Communications.

She began her career in the non-profit organization in France where she ran several educational programs in disadvantaged communities for more than 6 years. She has spent more than a third of her career at L’Oréal Groupe in key positions including Deputy General Manager of the L’Oréal Corporate Foundation, Head of Brand Communications at Lancôme and Garnier. Since May 2017, Ms. Johnston-Clarke has been Global Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Office.

Ms. Johnston-Clarke lives in Paris, France and is married to an American artist with whom she has three children. She has been awarded Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (National Order of Merit) and received the 2019 Woman Economic Empowerment Award from the Global Invest Sustainable AGEFI Awards. She is also a member of several Board of Directors of non-profit organizations and start-ups
