Buks Akinseye is the Global Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer operating in 31 markets and representing around 90% of IKEA retail sales.

With nearly 20 years of experience across the private and public sectors, Buks has held national, regional, and global roles in Corporate Communications, Sustainability, and People & Culture. His work consistently sits at the intersection of business, public policy, and societal impact – driving initiatives that create value for co-workers, customers and communities.

Since joining Ingka Group in 2021, Buks and his team are accelerating how the business uses its vision and values to drive growth and build a more equal and inclusive society. He is deeply committed to the power of business as a force for good, championing socio-economic prosperity for the many, not the few.

Buks was born in Nigeria and currently lives in the Netherlands.
